OF ALL INTERNATIONAL NIGHTS in Croatia come from these five source markets.

GERMAN STAYS
Croatia’s #1 foreign market. Non-negotiable.

OVERNIGHT STAYS
generated by the five markets built into this campaign.

The Essential starts where Croatian tourism starts: Germany. With 22.3 million overnight stays in 2025, Germany remains Croatia’s largest international source market by a wide margin. Every Essential campaign therefore anchors the brand in Germany through Rheinische Post or HNA.de, before adding one strategically selected second market through The Independent UK, Rolling Stone Italy, Marie Claire Netherlands or Bustle USA. Together, the five source markets represented across this media pool generated 35.5 million overnight stays in Croatia in 2025 — 36.9% of all international overnight stays. The strategy is simple: start with scale, then choose the market that makes the most commercial sense for your brand.

AN ADDITIONAL U.S. BUSINESS MEDIA LAYER

Every approved Heritage Edit campaign also includes a complimentary Business Insider Press release at no additional cost, adding an additional U.S. digital media placement beyond the two core campaign selections.

BUILT FOR AI DISCOVERY

Every publication is AI/LLM-friendly — because in the new search game, the brands with the strongest credible media footprint give AI the most to work with when deciding who makes its recommendations and shortlist.

Released in strictly limited numbers, this exclusive campaign rate is available only to approved applicants while allocations remain. Once the final allocation is secured, the release closes and standard campaign pricing applies.

KNOW WHERE YOUR BRAND IS GOING

Explore the audience, market strength, content format, article disclaimers, digital authority and placement details behind every publication available within the campaign.

If you find the same media package, with the same publications, placement formats, and the same publishing conditions, at a lower verified price during the campaign period, let us know and we’ll match it.

OVERNIGHT STAYS BEYOND GERMANY
generated by the five additional international markets

The Signature is where the campaign starts to open up. Beyond Germany, its media pool brings five additional international source markets into play — together responsible for 20.6 million overnight stays in Croatia in 2025. But scale is only half the story. What drives Istria is not what drives Dubrovnik. What matters in Zagreb is different again. The Signature is built around that reality. The mix also reaches some of Croatia’s highest-value and most strategically important travelers: U.S. visitors spend an average €299 per day, while in Dubrovnik-Neretva the UK and USA rank as the #1 and #2 foreign markets.
Build your media mix around where your next guest actually comes from — not around a generic national ranking.

AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF BUSINESS AUTHORITY

Every approved Lifestyle Edit campaign also includes a complimentary Business Insider Press release at no additional cost, adding an additional U.S. digital media placement beyond the two core campaign selections.

BUILT FOR AI DISCOVERY

Every publication is AI/LLM-friendly — because in the new search game, the brands with the strongest credible media footprint give AI the most to work with when deciding who makes its recommendations and shortlist.

DIRECT COMPETITOR MEDIA STRATEGY PROTECTED

Direct competitors may enter the same campaign level only where we can build a clearly differentiated media strategy. Some publication overlap may occur, but no direct competitor will receive the same overall media mix. This protection applies only to direct competitors; non-competing brands may share all publications without restriction. Earlier confirmation gives a brand priority over strategic media choices, and once key outlets are secured, they may be closed to competing brands within that campaign level.

MILLION OF OVERNIGHT STAYS generated by the 9 markets in Premiere media mix in 2025.

INTERNATIONAL MARKETS
activated within every Signature campaign

Premiere is where media presence starts to compound. Five core media placements give your brand enough weight to appear across multiple high-authority environments — with access to names including The Independent, USA TODAY, Rolling Stone, ELLE, National Geographic, Marie Claire, Elite Daily and HELLO! At the same time, with a source-market pool spanning nine international markets responsible for 57.4% of Croatia’s foreign overnight stays in 2025. And that footprint matters more now than ever. AI-referred traffic to travel sites grew 119% year over year in July 2026, as travelers increasingly move from traditional search to AI-led discovery. One article creates visibility. A connected media footprint creates authority. Premiere is built to create that authority at scale — across markets, audiences and the new systems deciding which brands get discovered next.

AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF BUSINESS AUTHORITY

Every approved Premiere campaign also includes a choice of either Richest Magazine article or Business Insider Press Release provided via Markets Insider - adding an additional U.S. digital media placement beyond the two core campaign selections.

STRATEGIC MEDIA PLACEMENTS

FROM DEMAND TO VISIBILITY

We focus first on the markets already generating Croatia's strongest international demand, then extend the media mix into high-value and fast-growing audiences with clear relevance to Croatian tourism.

OUR CORE MARKETS

GERMANY

01

Germany remains Croatia’s largest international source market with 22.27 million overnight stays in 2025. Its importance becomes even clearer regionally: Germany alone generated 10.08 million nights in Istria, more than a third of the region’s total, and 2.43 million in Zadar County, where it also ranks first. Scale like this makes Germany fundamental to any Croatian tourism mix.

UNITED STATES

02

The US is one of Croatia’s clearest high-value growth stories. American travelers generated 2.39 million nights nationally in 2025, up 10.1%, while Dubrovnik-Neretva county recorded 727,000 nights, up 13.1%, making the US its second-largest foreign market. TOMAS puts US visitor spend at approximately €299 per person per day, the highest among the measured source markets.

AUSTRIA

03

Austria delivered 8.25 million overnight stays in Croatia in 2025, but its weight is especially pronounced in the north Adriatic. It is Istria’s second-largest market, with 3.82 million nights, and one of Zadar County’s five largest foreign markets with more than 861,000 nights. Austria is therefore a core market for Istria, Kvarner and premium drive-to hospitality.

POLAND

04

Poland combines scale and momentum. It generated 7.33 million nights nationally, with YOY growth of 3.3%, while Zadar recorded 1.22 million Polish nights, up 7%. Istria reached 1.30 million, up 6%, and Dubrovnik-Neretva another 655,000, up 6.6%. Few markets are this relevant across such different parts of the Croatian coast.

ITALY

05

Italy generated 3.92 million overnight stays nationally, but its most natural Croatian fit remains the northern Adriatic. In Istria alone, Italians delivered 1.64 million nights, making Italy the region’s fourth-largest foreign source market. With average daily spending of around €141, proximity and a strong cultural, culinary and coastal affinity keep Italy highly relevant for Istrian and lifestyle-led hospitality.

SLOVENIA

06

Slovenia generated 11.06 million overnight stays nationally, making it Croatia’s second-largest foreign market. But its real strength is regional: it delivered 3.50 million nights in Istria and 2.06 million in Zadar County, ranking among the top three in both. Proximity, repeat travel and strong coastal demand make Slovenia one of Croatia’s most dependable regional markets.

GCC

07

GCC is here for a completely different reason: luxury value, not volume. UAE travelers as high-spending guests seeking premium hotels, resorts and villas, fine dining, personalized service and exclusive experiences, concentrated around Zagreb, Split, nautical tourism and Dubrovnik, exactly the segments where high-end Croatian hospitality has the strongest proposition.

SPANISH SPEAKING

08

Spain generated 688K overnight stays in Croatia in 2025, up 5.0% year on year. Strong interest in city breaks, culture and heritage makes Dubrovnik, Split and Croatia’s historic destinations natural fits. For hotels and destinations, Spain offers a growing audience for culture-led travel, gastronomy and Mediterranean lifestyle.

DENMARK

09

Denmark generated 836,000 overnight stays in Croatia in 2024, with 44% concentrated in Istria. Danish travellers also spend an average of around €2.3K DKK per person per trip, pointing to an established, higher-spending Nordic audience with strong relevance for Istrian, Kvarner and Dalmatian hotels and luxury offerings.

CANADA

10

Canada generated 380K overnight stays in Croatia in Jan–Aug 2025, up 6.6% year on year. Canadian travellers are strongly motivated by culture (87%), nature and outdoor experiences (79%) and culinary discovery (78%). This creates a strong fit for Croatian hotels and destinations built around heritage, gastronomy, islands and authentic experiences.

UNITED KINGDOM

11

The United Kingdom generated 3.85 million overnight stays in Croatia in 2025, growing 2.3% year on year. With an average stay of 4.8 nights, it remains one of Croatia’s largest established Western European markets. Strong demand for coastal destinations, islands and city breaks makes the UK a key market for premium hospitality and experience-led travel.

FRANCE

12

France offers a particularly strong shoulder-season opportunity. French visitors accounted for 4.0% of foreign tourist nights in April 2025 and 3.3% in May, giving the market relevance before peak summer. Dubrovnik, Split and Istria provide natural stories around heritage, gastronomy, wine and sophisticated coastal travel.
